Lindsay Jay Designs offers Residential Interior Design Services and was founded by Lindsay in 2009. Lindsay’s passion for design, color and finishes are evident in every project she touches. Her intuitive understanding of the different needs of her clients enables her to greet new challenges with creativity and enthusiasm. From conception to completion, Lindsay works in conjunction with contractors, workrooms, showrooms and various trades - to simplify the process of selecting and sourcing all materials to create functional and cohesive spaces. With years of experience and knowledge Lindsay can guide you in making confident decisions that make the entire process of designing, planning and executing smooth and enjoyable.

Bio:

Lindsay came to Vermont in the early 2000s as an undergraduate attending The University of Vermont studying Studio Art and Art History, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. Upon graduating she spent the summer at Parsons Paris drawing the Architecture and Interiors of the city. In 2007, Lindsay returned to her native New York and attended Parsons The New School For Design receiving her an Associates of Applied Science in Interior Design with Honors. While attending Parsons she was a Design Assistant at MH Studio in Manhattan. Her love of Vermont brought her back to the state in 2009 where she opened her own Design Studio. Through Lindsay Jay Designs, Lindsay has worked in countless homes around the state. Focusing on function and her clients needs to achieve space specific, timeless and cohesive designs. 

Lindsay is also a fiber artist, specializing in hand-woven wall hangings. Her practice was established in 2017 as a self-taught exploration on a table loom. Over the years, her technique and scope have expanded, particularly after transitioning to a large floor loom in 2022. Lindsay’s work is characterized by unique textural landscapes and keen eye for color. Currently, she produces bespoke pieces for private collectors and retails her work through select Vermont boutiques.
